To install correctly the rear bumper requires removal, we do this to ensure the perfect position of the sensor heads in the factory locations, this avoids the sensors “false alarming”.
As this was a commercial vehicle we run the “beeper” to the cab area to ensure it can be heard okay. If it were installed in the rear the customer may struggle to hear it once it has been boarded and a bulkhead fitted.
Once the holes are drilled and the sensors fitted we can now run the cables into the van for the finalisation of the Installation.
